My name is Yanelie Santiago and I’m 24 years old. I was born in the city of Mayagüez, where I also studied my bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences. Currently, I’m realizing my master’s degree in School Psychology at Carlos Albizu University, San Juan Campus.

I come from a very caring and loving family. I began competing in beauty pageants when I was 14 years old, and they have supported me everytime. Since then I knew that beauty pageants are my thing. I enjoy teaching girls and teenagers on how to walk, stand, and make a difference anywhere we go.

Women around the world let their voice be heard in their own way. Becoming Miss Intercontinental 2018 for me is a position of leadership, and an opportunity to continue my vision of promoting equity, tolerance, unity and peace to our present and future generations.
