Miss Intercontinental New Zealand 2019 – Jasmine Huang

Hi, I’m Jasmine Huang, Miss Intercontinental New Zealand.
I am a New Zealand student currently studying Biology, Chemistry and Physics with calculus in the hopes to pursue a career in medicine in the future.

I was born in the beautiful country known as Aotearoa – New Zealand – The Land of the Long White Cloud.

Growing up as a kid, I have always been taught by my parents the importance of giving to others that might be less fortunate.
Through the opportunities I gained from pageants, I was able to contribute my time into charity works which I am passionate about. Helping charities such as Youthline and Brave that put emphasis on the mental health of New Zealand youth. As well as more socially political organisations such as WorldVision.

My passion for modelling and pageants made me step out of my comfort zone to participate in shows and competitions such as Miss World New Zealand and Miss Auckland. I was extremely honoured to be given the awards of “Fundraising Initiative” as well as the “Beauty with a Purpose Award”. I was also crowned Miss Intercontinental New Zealand and am so excited and happy to be representing my beautiful country this year in Miss Intercontinental.

Through the opportunities that Miss Intercontinental is providing me. I want to inspire future children of New Zealand that with passion and drive we can succeed no matter our background or age. I would love the support from everyone for me on this journey, to help me move one step closer to my dream of helping and inspiring more people not just in New Zealand, but in the World.
